Community Memorial Hospital's progressive Physical Therapy Department offers services in a variety of areas including: in-house acute care, a Swing Bed program and outpatient therapy. Our staff consists of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and physical therapy aides.

Stroke and other neurological problems
Upper extremity surgery / trauma / over use syndromes
After assessing a patient’s condition, the Occupational Therapist will devise an appropriate treatment plan. The treatment plan may include:
Training in Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
Instruction in the use of assistive devices for ADL
Fabrication or adjustment of custom and prefabricated splints
Therapeutic exercises
Application of heat, cold, therapeutic ultrasound, iontophoresis or fluidotherapy
Electrical stimulation for pain or swelling, muscle re-education
Work conditioning, coaching in work simplification/energy conservation
